Cruise the beautiful Weeki Wachee River. The Weeki Wachee River has tons of wildlife. You can almost certainly expect to see Manatees, Dolphins, Rays, many fish species, and many bird species. Take a snack break, as we tie up at the Hospital Hole, a deep sinkhole and diving area, where Manatees can often be seen. The water is cool year round and is a great place to take a dip and cool off.

Homosassa River is a 7.7-mile-long river in Citrus County. Its headwaters are the Homosassa Springs, and from there it flows west into the Gulf of Mexico. The river is home Dolphins, Manatees, Turtles, many birds species, Otters and many species of both freshwater and saltwater fish. The Homosassa River is an estuary, which means that as it moves inland, it changes from salt water to fresh very gradually, and the river is brackish. Homosassa River is also home to Monkey Island. Monkey Island is a small island in the Homosassa River next to the Florida Cracker Riverside Resort and downtown "Old" Homosassa Florida. The island derives its name from the monkeys relocated to the island from the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park in the 1960s. The monkeys were moved from the park due to their "problematic" behavior, including stealing candy, entering cars, and biting visitors. The river acts as a natural fence because the monkeys prefer not to swim. Currently three spider monkeys inhabit the island, two of which are from the original relocation. The island contains a lighthouse, Cedar trees, and a monkey "playground". They are fed fresh fruit daily by staff members. Touring the Homosassa River is a great way to spend a half day trip or combine with a trip on the Weeki Wachee, for a wonder full day trip. There are many great restaurants available to dock at for a cocktail or bite to eat.

Crystal River is the self professed "Home of the Manatee". Crystal River is at the heart of the Nature Coast of Florida. The city is situated around Kings Bay, which is spring-fed and so keeps a constant 72 °F temperature year round. A cluster of 50 springs designated as a first-magnitude system feeds Kings Bay. A first-magnitude system discharges 100 cubic feet or more of water per second, which equals about 64 million gallons of water per day. Because of this discharge amount, the Crystal River Springs group is the second largest springs group in Florida. Kings Bay can be home to over 400 manatees during the winter when the water temperature in the Gulf of Mexico cools. A tour on the Crystal River is sure to provide tons of wildlife viewing opportunities. Please, let us know if you are staying on the River and we can pick you up, right at your dock. There are many places available to stop for a cocktail or bite to eat.
